Creepy People Online

Posted by Erica on July 21st 2008

It is so difficult to deal with children who insist upon going on the internet to cause problems for other people. They are not very kind and like to spread their vile venom all over the net. On another site of mine, there are these two very creepy men who continually harass me in the comments section. They are really freaky and they should probably be arrested for the way they are.

I have finally figured out their real names. Should I post it here what their real names are? I sometimes think that if it was public knowledge how vile they are then they would stop doing it.

Easy Living

Posted by Erica on July 16th 2008

Life doesn’t have to be as difficult as some people make it out to be. Some people think that life has to be difficult or not very fun at times, but that doesn’t have to be the case. There is real joy in life if we seek it out. This joy can become a part of lives and the lives of our family.

Easy living isn’t just about lots of money, it’s about low stress and trying to make our lives easier and less complicated. There is a lot of happiness in easy living and I am glad to have found it.

New Ways To Save Money

Posted by Erica on July 11th 2008

I am trying to find new ways to cut down on our family’s monthly expenses. It’s tough to find the ways to cut expenses and it seems like I have hit a brick wall lately. Inflation is really hitting the family budget and instead of making cuts, the budget is ballooning.

At least I know other families are experiencing the same thing. I know that we are not alone in this quest to make life even more enjoyable on less money. It’s what Frugal Living and Cheap Healthy Food is all about.

Have you got any ideas to offer?

Beef Chili: Great Food For The Family

Posted by Erica on July 10th 2008

My husband just loves beef chili. In fact, it’s favorite among every one in the household. It’s easy to buy cans of chili at the supermarket, but I don’t think the taste is really that good enough.

I am interested in quality food at that why I make up all of the chili we eat. Basically, I make a huge amount of it on a Saturday and then put it in container to freeze. All I need to do is thaw it and stick in the microwave and we can have chili anytime.

Here’s my recipe:

Ingredients:

* 3 pounds lean beef, coarsely ground or cut in small cubes
* 1/4 cup chopped onion
* 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
* 6 cups water
* 2 bay leaves
* 1/4 cup chili powder
* 1 tablespoon salt
* 8 to 10 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
* 1 teaspoon oregano leaves, crushed
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
* 1 tablespoon sugar
* 3 tablespoons sweet Hungarian paprika
* 3 tablespoons flour
* 6 tablespoons cornmeal
* cold water

Preparation:
In a 6-quart saucepan, sear beef with onion in vegetable oil until beef is no longer pink. Add water, bay leaves, chili powder, salt, garlic, cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper, black pepper, sugar, and paprika. Simmer, covered, 2 hours. Cool. Refrigerate overnight so flavors will mellow. Skim off the solidified fat. Reheat. Combine flour and cornmeal; add a little cold water to make a smooth paste-like mixture. Add paste mixture to chili. Cook, stirring, for about 6 to 8 minutes longer. Remove bay leaves before serving.
Serves 6.

Do What Is Right

Posted by Erica on July 6th 2008

It’s important that you always do what is right whether it is in business or your personal life. We are all responsible for our own actions and our own future. If we are doing the things that are right, then how can we possibly better our lives or keep bad things from happening to us.

It’s important to be the very best person you can be and show everyone that you can be a light in this world, rather than be a dark spot. If we can do this, than we can make things better not only for ourselves, but the people around us.

Too Many Old Websites

Posted by Erica on July 2nd 2008

I have just realized that how many old websites I have out there on the net. I first making pages on Geocities and then added new pages at Tripod, Angelfire and other sites. I think at open time I had seven of these free sites up and running. It was an interesting time of the net, everyone wanted a simple page and there many tools to have one.

Unfortunately, as time went by, I forgot about them. Now I can hardly remember the sites and I am trying to find the old ones, maybe to resurrect them a bit or maybe just to relive some fond memories. I know I have pictures of old friends in them.
